Challenge #53 - An Apple a Day

Happy Autumn everyone!
Fall has definitely arrived in my part of the world.  The kids actually asked for mittens before they walked out the door this morning!

What do you think of  when you think, "Autumn?"  Sweaters, hot chocolate, pumpkins, scarecrows??

And what about apples??

They are  truly a "FALL" thing!

So this week I challenge you to use the image of an apple on your creation- stamp it, cut it out or use some patterned paper just as I did.

I made this Thanksgiving card for my sister who won't be attending our family's annual dinner.  She'll be so happy to receive it and know we are thinking of her even though she is far away!

Lynne
I am going out of town in the morning so I pulled this layout from my archives,  I took  l took a little liberty with the 'apple' theme, but I think it works.

Barb
Here's my layout for this challenge. I've used a button apple embellishment.
Thanks for the fun challenge, Bronwyn.

Challenge #52 - Fall Into Another Colour Challenge

Good morning everyone. Theresa here and it's time for another challenge. I've been enjoying the cooler morning/evenings which is gearing up for my favourite time of year.... FALL! That time of year where the smell of spice and wood burning fills the cool air and the leaves change colours.

This week I decided to use a fall colour challenge to keep it a bit simple as I've also been quite busy the last few weeks. Using the colours Brown, Orange (or Red) and Green, let's see what we can conjure up!

Once again I created a card and incorporated my favourite fall colours as well as the one thing I don't like the season... cold drizzly rain :(

I'm excited to see what everyone comes up with!
Happy Crafting!

What says autumn more than bright yellow sunflowers?  My daughter and I planted these months ago and we finally enjoyed the fruit of our labours in the last few weeks.  I couldn't wait to use this older BoBunny paper with these lovely photos.

Lynne
I love these colors, but I have no fall photos, so I just used them for a "fall" ritual, moving your child into college.  (I also used this same group of photos in a previous challenge.)

#51 - Earning your Stripes

Good morning everyone. It's Barb and it's time for another challenge. This week, because it's been a very busy time for me lately, I'm going to keep it easy. It's all about stripes. Use stripes in your project somewhere.

I use stripes (in case you haven't noticed) in almost every project I do. It's usually just a strip so it's not overwhelming. I always choose my striped paper first because that gives me an immediate colour pallet when I'm picking the papers I want to use.

In this one, there's just a small striped strip in the bottom right corner.

So, lets see you earn your stripes this week. I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with. Don't forget to link up your project using Mr. Linky below.

It hit me just the other day that I haven't made ANY Christmas cards this year!  I usually have them half done by the end of the summer so that I am well-stocked come December.  But not so this year.  So- here it is- my first Christmas card of 2012- STRIPES included!!

Lynne

I love stripes and I tend to use them a lot too.  I also don't want to give up summer so this layout with the bright colors, reminds me of summer.

Challenge #50 -Crossing through the Color Seasons

Hi everyone.  Lynne here.
Labor Day weekend is here,  Summer is unoffically over and it is the unofficial start of fall.  So, my color challenge for you this week is to cross those seasons using Navy Blue, which is a very summer color, and Orange (peach, apricot, tangerine - you choose), which is a very Autumn color.   Here is my example of my youngest taken on her first day at college.

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.  Have fun!

Barb
I love using this colour combination. Thanks, Lynne, for the challenge.
I have a hard time getting a good picture of my boys when they're together. On this occasion it was no different.

Use Your Stuff has a guest designer this month.
 Please welcome Theresa Sweet.

Theresa is primarily a card maker who likes to scrapbook,
she is also a mother of one fabulous daughter who is starting grade seven this year.

Welcome Theresa!

Here I am - last to the party again!
Blue and orange- perfect for pics of our family's recent trip to NYC- specifically a stop in Central Park.

Highlights from challenge #49
